The hotkeys from F1 to F12, are designed to achieve a variety of features. To press any of the hotkeys, you enable corresponding feature in a faster way. Examples are quick volume up or down, shutdown, increase or decrease brightness, e.t .c . ., But, when you want to enable any one of the above functions, you need to press the combination of “Fn” together with specific hotkey. Is there a way to activate the feature by only pressing certain hotkey? And how to make it? Solution ( I am working on lenovo G50-70 model lap I think it may differ to other models) 1. Enter BIOS to disable “Hotkey Mode” . For entering into the Bois mode directly press the novo button on left side placed immediately below the power port. 2. After enter BIOS, Select “Configuration” menu. For lenovo G50-70 series , set “HotKey Mode” as “Disabled” and press F10 to save and exit. See the image Restart your lapatop... That's it's floks.
